Of course, Geddy Lee (of the band Rush, for the uninitiated) performed backup vocals for Bob & Doug Mackenzie on their 1981 hit “Great White North”… and as part of the banter between Lee and the Mackenzie’s, Bob and Doug thank Lee for helping with the album, and Lee replies: “Hey, ten bucks is ten bucks”. Hence the tie-in to this post.
