ABC’s of Medigap Policies

Get to know the ABC's of Medigap insurance coverage. Also known as Medicare Supplement coverage, this is an important part of your coverage.

Medigap policies come in many flavors. If you’ve done any reading in this area at all, you’ve probably come to realize that the whole thing is a messy alphabet soup… and it’s really, really hard to figure it all out. What I’ve done here is to pull together a resource that may be helpful as you consider your options for a Medigap plan.

(in other words, everything in Plan C except the Medicare Part B deductible)

Plan E is no longer available as of May 31, 2010

Now we’re getting to some of the more flexible plan options.  These have been developed to provide similar benefits as other plans but with additional participation by the insured in order to reduce the premium costs.
